Our daughter and her husband held their wedding reception here in the Oak Suite on Saturday, 6th March. We were greeted on arrival by Eamonn, who spent the rest of the day and most of the evening ensuring that our every wish was fulfilled to perfection.

The entire staff were very friendly and polite, the service was excellent, the food delicious. and the venue superb. The whole event was a wonderful success to the delight of the newlyweds and all their guests.

We would like to give our Appreciation to the Stanneylands Hotel and all its staff but we would particularly like to offer our Sincere Thanks to Eamonn for all his care and attention. He really made our day special.

i arrived in a snow storm and travelled by taxi.
Check-in was fast and friendly.  My room looked new-ish and it was clean and well equipped.
I had dinner in the restaurant which was very nice and William was most attentive.
Bar prices were expensive but a new conservatory bar had a very pleasant atmosphere.
Breakfast buffet was plentiful.
Overall I had a great stay at the Stanneylands.

I stayed there for one night. Since I was on business the location was important. Although this hotel is close to the airport you wouldn't reconise it. Plenty of free parking which is always a bonus. I've booked the room with breakfast and altough the price at £13.50 is not cheap it is a buffet style which allows you to get a good choice. Service was friendly and the dinner was very nice. Overall I can recommend this hotel, nice bar and restaurant and a big enough reception area with T-Mobile broadband in the hotel (pay per day), the room was spacious, clean and comfy and overlooked some of their woods and forecourt area.

We got married at Stanneylands Hotel on 5th December 2009 and found it to be absolutely perfect - from the decor, the food (all of our guests have commented on how delicious this was!) and drink to the excellent service provided. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. The bridal room was lovely, warm and clean and the breakfast the following morning was also lovely. We would highly recommend this hotel for a meal, an overnight/weekend stay and most definately for a wedding!!

We have now arrived back in the UK and had a wonderful honeymonn in Thailand.

I am writing to you on behalf of Dave and myself to say thank you so much for such an incredible day, wasn't it magical, we have letters pour in off our guests expressing how they have never been to a wedding with such ambiance and feeling.  The service was impeccable!

From start to finish Eamonn never took his eye off the day.  I myself have never met a man with such charm and flair for a job he obviously loves.

Liz was amazing,... and for any woman out there looking for a fairytale wedding, you have no worries at all in the capable hands of Liz.

All the service staff from Reception to the waitresses, waiters were very competent and polite.

The food... WOW First Class

My requests are simple but clear: a comfortable bed, a quiet room, curtains that keep the light out, and stuff that works. This hotel delivers that. The curtains are thick, the bed was excellent, the shower superb. It was stylish as well, and the staff were pleasant. Sadly I still did not sleep well, but that was because a raging storm that woke me at 5am.

The hotel is a short taxi ride (allow £4) from the station.

We had a great experience at Stanneylands Hotel. Instead of trying to describe this hotel in details, I will just leave one phrase that could summarize it all: SIMPLY THE BEST IN MANCHESTER AREA (because just couldn´t be better...).
Excellent location (short walking distance from Wilmslow town). Spacious and charming rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Great bar, very good restaurant. Elegant and stylish hotel

Just wanted to say that Stanneylands Hotel is the best place I've ever stayed. I would recommend it to anyone. It was my first stay there but it wont be the last. I came with my partner for a long weekend. We've arrived on Friday. The receptionist greeted me with a big smile and straight away I felt like at home. She booked for us a table for dinner that night and helped us with our luggage. We were joined by our friends for dinner. My friend has a small baby and Eamonn kindly has given her a room close to the restaurant so she could peacefully feed and change the baby. And the dinner.....it was absolutely amazing! Overall I have to say that it was a fantastic stay. The room was beautiful and cleaned every day (and I'm not a tidy person:)). The food was fantastic and the staff was so helpful and made me feel like at home. If anyone is going to Stanneylands you will be more than satisfied. Well done Stanneylands!!

Our Golden Wedding Anniversary Lunch on Saturday went well and we, our family and friends enjoyed the occassion and we shall remember it with great pleasure.  The staff involved were all efficient and pleasant and looked after us all very well.

Thank yuo for all the work you put into setting up the arrangements and for dealing with all our requests in such a friendly and helpful manner.  Our thanks to all the team who made the day so enjoyable.

With thanks to you and your staff for accommodating my Mothers 80th birthday celebration last Sunday.  The ambience, food, service and the friendliness and attitude of the staff was a great credit to you and the hotel.

I would just like to thank all the staff for a well organised and lovely stay for the family reunion on Saturday evening.  The food and service were excellent and we appreciated the assistance with our last minute arrangements.  Once again thank you.

Might not be everybody's cup of tea, but this is a real find - I loved it. The hotel has somehow managed to survive being spoilt by "modernisations" and "improvements" and has a real atmosphere of a bygone era about it, I would say 1950s/60s (which is why it might not be everybodys cup of tea). However this does not mean it is tired or run down, far from it (with the odd exception). For the most part this is a very well run hotel with friendly staff who know what they are doing, are professional, but not at all stuffy. For an evening meal the restaurant is absolutely first class (and I am very fussy!!). The ambience is lovely with its 80 year old American rosewood panelling, and some unusual and interesting crockery. Jacques, who despite the name is Dutch, has waited on customers there for 30 years and delivers unfussy, unpretentious, but very professional silver service against a subdued background of classical music. He clearly loves his job and the restaurant. The table d'hote menu is £29.50 and includes hors d'oeuvre, starter, tasting size soup or similar, main course, pudding or cheese, and coffee - each course was of superb quality and overall it was good value for what it was. There is a wide selection of wines, with a good number available by the glass, including a champagne. The breakfast the next morning was not bad, but not quite up to the standards of the night before; it was a self service buffet.

To the Management & Staff of Stanneylands Hotel, Wilmslow a sincere thank you for returning my keys so promptly which saved me a  great deal of hassle, so once again thank you to all involved and for a happy stay at the hotel.

It was a pleasure to arrive to your hotel and to meet Cecilia in the reception, a nice openminded girl giving us good service and full attention.

When we entered into the restaurant for having our dinner we hesitated, as we learnt that only 6 guests should be eating that night.  We think empty restaurant are not nice to eat in.

However, we decided to stay and have our dinner in your restaurant.  It was a wise decision, as we had the pleasure of metting Jacques Franke, a man with experience and good knowledge not only about wines but also about all the food he was serving.  He had answers to all our questions, without have to go to the kitchen asking.  Which unfortunately is the most common answer we receive no a days when asking waiters about the food they are serving "I will go and ask in the kitchen"

You should be proud of your employees, Cecilia and Mr Franke.  They know what "customer satisfaction" means.

I can't begin to tell you what a fantastic job you did helping us put our wedding together.  It has been a long year working with everyone but it all came out in the end.  We can't believe it went completely without a hitch!  We all have had the most wonderful day ever and it was all thanks to you and the staff at Stanneylands.  They are having a great time on there honeymoon, no doubt we will see you soon.  Many thanks again.
