THE ROMAN CITY OF CHESTER
Chester is arguably the richest city in Britain for archaeological and architectural treasures preserved to this day from the time of the Roman occupation. Explore the most distinctive medieval feature of the city -The Rows. These are double-level walkways with a continuous line of balconies and with shops at street and first-floor levels. The Rows are unique and were certainly in existence in the 14th century.

TATTON PARK
Tatton Park, Cheshire's large visitor attraction of the year in 2004 and 2005, is one of the North West's most popular heritage attractions. Over 750,000 visits are made each year to the 1,000 acres of Deer Park, Mansion, Gardens, Old Hall, Rare Breeds Farm and events. It has a history dating back to Bronze Age farming and has been home to herds of deer since the 13th century. In the late Tudor period Tatton was acquired by the Egerton family who owned the estate until the last Lord Egerton died without heits in 1958. Maurice Egerton bequeathed the estate to the National Trust and in 1960 a lease was drawn up with Cheshire County Council who managed and financed the property on behalf of the National Trust until April 2009 when responsibility transferred to Cheshire East Council.
BLAKEMERE CRAFT CENTRE
A unique shopping experience set in and around a beautiful Edwardian stable block and cobbled courtyard, home to numerous craft shops offering gifts galore, beautifully handcrafted either on site or around the world.
DELAMERE FOREST
Delamere Forest is Cheshire's largest area of woodland is also a haven for wildlife including the beautiful small tortoiseshell butterfly, greater spotted woodpecker, white faced darter dragonfly, green woodpecker, siskin and southern hawker dragonfly. At Blakemere lake there are nesting black headed gulls that you will be able to see and hear

THE BOAT MUSEUM
Situated in a 200-year old historic dock complex on the south bank of the River Mersey, close to the Port of Liverpool, the museum has recently undergone a £2 million make-over. With the largest collection of canal boats in the world, a working lock and dock workers cottages, the museum provides a glimpse to what life was like during the heyday of our waterways. The open air museum brings to life the many elements which were essential to a successful canal port in the 19th century.

CHESTER CATHEDRAL
Chester Cathedral is a truly remarkable building, with a history spanning almost two thousand years. According to legend, a prehistoric Druid temple existed on this site, which was succeeded by a Roman temple dedicated to Apollo.

The Thundersprint track is laid out in Northwich’s main car park and although tiny, at just 447 yards, it is a superb little race circuit thanks to the care and attention given to it by Cheshire West and Chester Council – and it’s much more difficult than it looks from the grandstands.
